Who We Are

Progressive India Foundation is a Social Responsibility Initiative by DIAMONDSTAR, one of the leading impact investors in Canada, Europe & India.
The Foundation operates with the single-minded focus of empowering the needy at the community level. Our vision is community empowerment through best practices, modern technology and values.
Our investees address social challenges in vital areas such as education, health, support to ageing population, community services & Tribals upliftment.
We aim to create a permanent, irreversible & positive change in the lives of 5 million people in various Indian communities in the next 10 years.

The foundation is dedicated to work in the field including education, sanitation, health, income generation and other major issues to attain the core goal of overall improvement of communities.

Our foundation not only focuses on making the underprivileged communities capable so that they can compete and come at-par with this fast-growing world of today’s time but also works hard to provide better health, education and basic necessities to them.

We have a dedicated team of teachers, medical practitioners and other volunteers, who wholeheartedly work for the betterment of deprived communities. We also focus on providing proper medical facilities to the children.

We believe that India will never achieve its true growth story until the rural sector of the country is empowered to make choices and transform their own lives. Our aim is to create a model for development that can be replicated at scale across India and perhaps the world.

While we, with our 300+ strong team and 1000+ volunteers at the Progressive India Foundation, strive hard to find and execute solutions to the multiple challenges Rural India faces, we’d be happier if we don’t achieve our goal alone. We believe in a collaborative model and work with multiple partners which include NGOs, other foundations, the government and corporates. We at the Swades Foundation are committed and raring to go. We aren’t naïve about the task we’ve set but are determined to create communities that will have the ability to contribute substantially to India’s growth story.
